Today, UPM is very pleased to announce the launch of our newly designed website at https://www.upm-cdm.eu!
The new website aims at creating a user-friendly browsing experience andpresenting in a simplified and more direct way who we are and our expertise. The project portfolio is now offering an overview not only of UPM carbon & climate mitigation projects but also of projects developed with consulting services clients in sanitation, bio-energy and waste-to-value fields. All projects can be searched by field/expertise, location and by their contributions to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The content of the site will be updated on regular basis. Chinese and German languages will also be available before end of 2019.
We have created this new website with our different partners in mind and trust that all with be able to acquire a comprehensive overview of UPM and different cooperation opportunities from it. Our team will remain available to provide more detailed information about our carbon credits and tailored-made consulting and technical assistance services. - Martin Dilger, Managing Director of UPM
UPM isalso taking this opportunity to announce that UPM Gold Standard for Global Goals (GS4GG) and CDM certified Sichuan Household Biogas Programme of Activities (PoA) has already avoided a total of more than 5 million tons of GHG emissions. This new emission reduction milestone is equivalent to GHG emissions from about 600,000 American home’s energy use for one year. With almost 400,000 poor rural households supported by the programme and measurable impacts on 14 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, UPM’s PoA remains at the forefront of carbon offset projects offering holistic approaches to climate change mitigation and sustainable development.
