Beijing, Munich | News Release
As from today, UPM Umwelt-Projekt-Management GmbH presents itself with fresh corporate design in a modern, competent and innovative way on its new website at https://www.upm-cdm.eu.
With comprehensive yet clearly structured information about the company UPM, its high-end service offering around climate protection and emissions trading as well as its remarkable portfolio of projects and carbon credits, the new homepage increases public awareness of UPM and sharpens its profile as one of the leading developers of sustainable carbon offset projects in the world. In comparison to UPM’s former internet presence, the new website has also been amended by useful background information on international climate change policy and some introducing explanations on mandatory and voluntary carbon markets for those users not so familiar with these subjects. Furthermore, a constantly updated news section has been added, in which visitors of our website may get informed in full detail about UPM’s new activities.
Also in terms of technology and design, UPM leaves the beaten track. For ongoing updates and maintenance of its new online offering, for instance, UPM uses a state-of-the-art content management system (CMS) that can be easily upgraded with new functionalities. To improve user comfort, in addition, a content delivery network (CDN) has been installed. This device accelerates response times significantly by hosting the website on numerous servers around the globe for easy access by users. Last not least, UPM’s new internet presence has been equipped with the latest „responsive design“. This means: All content and services are always displayed in an orderly and lean screen design, regardless of whether the site is watched on PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
Martin Dilger, Managing Director of Munich-based UPM GmbH: „I am very pleased that, by our own means, we have created a very informative, useful and attractive online platform that hopefully will find much approval.“
Furthermore, UPM would like to use this opportunity, to inform you about the implementation status of its recently registered Biogas-Household PoA in Chinese province Sichuan. The PoA is fully on target. Until end of 2012, 50 CPAs will be included, further 30 CPAs will follow by mid of 2013 and by end of 2013, another 20 CPAs will be submitted for inclusion.
